TEMPESST TRUE LOVE'S IN DECLINE

East London band Tempesst have dropped a new single in the form of ‘True Love’s In Decline’. It’s a laid-back, emotive cut that lets simplistic guitar chords chop above a crisp drum accompaniment and below a meaningful vocal line. With its swirling strings and anthemic melodies, the chorus feels more like a high-budget Jarvis Cocker track or a ballad by The National. It is accompanied by a music video that takes a look at the brutality of dating in the era of dating apps. “It’s a bit cynical and tongue-in-cheek, but to be fair, I think it is a legitimate analysis of the times we live in,” they explain. Be sure to check out their new album, Prisoner Of Desire, on March 3rd, 2022. -Dan Peeke.
